hmmm your thinking sound, and its image im thinking hand and fingers. when playing a guitar you use your finger to hit ferts, almost same as a violins but in violins you pressed down on its strings hard and pull it back and forth quickly to make its sound, when you do that in guitar you make a pich-harmonic,

I am good at guitar considering how little I play it anymore... I can play it pretty good tho. Like I said right now I'm playing drums most

what i ment with violins is that there are only 4 strings and most guitars have 6... the tunings are different and that means the chords are probably different too... i know you finget the strings to make sounds and notes alike... but im sayin the mechanics behind it are different...
